Championship Points System

This system awards points the same at every race
regardless of the number of entries.

Encourages participation in small events
because competitors know that significant points are available, regardless of the size of the event.

There are a few areas involved in the points system:

Finishing Positions
The first place finisher (PAX - shown below) of the event gets 175 points, and positions 2 through 5 are separated by 5 points each
(a 5-point differential).

Positions 6 through 10 are separated by 4 points
(a 4-point differential).

Positions 11 through 30 are separated by 3 points
(a 3-point differential).

Positions 31 through 66 are separated by 2 points
(a 3-point differential).

Positions of 67 or worse score no points.
This is to not encourage large fields.

Tiebreakers
If any drivers have finished with the same number of points, the driver with the most  first place finishes then wins the tiebreaker. Successive tie-breakers are second place finishes, third place finishes, and etc.
